You Vote – I Write

I’ve submitted a proposal to an online magazine, Winners Within Us, to write an article about my friends, and local (to Boulder) climbers/guides/mountaineers, Brad Clement and Tonya Riggs Clement.

They are a married couple who met while climbing Mt. Everest in 2006, as part of the Everest Peace Project, and have since summitted several of the world’s highest peaks. They began their business, Beyond Everest, a few years later. From the mission statement: “Their goal behind Beyond Everest is to take the power of the high peaks and inspire all people to live their dreams, achieve their greatest goals…and then go even further. Through presentations, seminars and even actual expeditions into the mountains, Tonya and Brad want to pass on the power mountains offer and inspire everyone to find vision, passion and achievement beyond what was thought possible.”

The publication, Winners Within Us, is unique in that it solicits proposals, then asks readers to vote on which story they would like to see developed into a full-length article. So I’m drumming up votes!
